Messages From Everywhere is a powerful multimedia work created by Jocelyn Hagen and filmmaker/sound designer Isaac Gale. Commissioned by the Wartburg Community Symphony and premiered in 2022, this immersive piece blends evocative music, striking visuals, and spatial audio to explore themes of connection and universality. Featuring a newly commissioned poem by Brian Newhouse, Messages From Everywhere invites audiences into a deeply moving and multi-sensory experience.

We are in need of grace,
so we listen for you
who pierce the rainbow
and collapse colors into your wings;
who turn these rubies into song
in the late-winter gray –
each note light,
each note hope.
We are listening…
You called our ancestors to dark open fields
where flocks of stars soared ever to eternity
singing of heaven.
We are listening…
Now, in need of blessing,
we listen again, to be saved –
to be saved in spring,
by song.
