Rose Ever Blooming Northwest Premiere

Gather ’round for Jul Stories, an enchanting evening of Nordic folk winter music that transports you to snow-laden forests and candlelit gatherings of the North. Choral Arts Northwest welcomes composers-in-residence Jocelyn Hagen and Tim Takach for the Northwest premiere of their evocative work Rose Ever Blooming, alongside the haunting sounds of Rachel Nesvig on Hardanger fiddle and violin and the CANW Chamber Orchestra. Presented in conjunction with the National Nordic Museum’s storytelling exhibition “A Ballard Story,” this concert weaves together folklore, tradition, and contemporary artistry into a richly layered musical experience. From ancient winter tales to bold new compositions, Jul Stories celebrates the enduring magic of Nordic heritage right here in the Pacific Northwest. Come welcome the season with music that warms the heart and stirs the soul.
